presents...... Jubilance 1!
Just went for the concert at Victoria concert hall. As i was in band last time, my expectation for this concert wasn't really that high. But it turns out to be better than i expected.
The 1st half was the concert was more of familiar, catchy tunes and i love almost every piece. I think most of them were nervous during the first song, coz i can hear quite a few squeaking especially from clarinets.
The percussion ensemble was interesting, esp with the performance of the pom pom girls as well. kekeke.. But, i was a bit disappointed tat the song was pretty short.
The intermission's clarinets solo was the most boring part. I almost dozed off during that 10 mins. yawn....
The 2nd half was really entertaining. The audiences were shouting, Shhing.... more shouting... more shhing... and even more shouting! The teachers were so helpless. hahaha...
I really admired the 2 boys who can hold fake snakes and walked ard the stage with them, pulling the snakes in front of the conductor while the band played the song titled "Snakes".
"The Phantom of the Opera" was the only piece which i've played in the past b4. The band played it pretty well and of coz, most of the audience were laughing away by the performance. One of the boys played the guy with the mask. And one girl with the red dress. She's ermm.. a bit fat for that role. But she got most of us laughing away as well.
The concert ended well with the 2nd encore song, "Can't take my eyes off you". Very very nice..

2 encore songs leh!! not easy ok..
It sure brought back some memories. All the preparation, all the hard work.. just for one nite. It's worth it. And i definitely missed performing on the stage.
