BKK - Day 2

Long long day...
We woke up at 5am, and had our buffet breakfast at 530am.
Steady wor!
Was very seh.

We chose a Ayutthaya day trip today.

We took a mini van from our hotel and change to coach. Took abt 1-2 hours ride to Bang Pa In.

I was still telling labbit that it will be terrible if sleeveless is not allowed in Ayutthaya. It will be scorching hot!! I will be sweating like hell!! ARGH!!!!

But, we got down the coach.. and woo hooo!! Am i in genting?? Heng i brought my cardi along! It was soooo damn chilling in the morning. It's such a bonus to have such a cooling weather in bkk! SHIOK!

The first thing we saw is this tree.. didn't really listen to the guide on what it's abt :P

There's a few palaces in Bang Pa In. One thai palace, one chinese palace and a few European palaces. This is the thai one..

Saw these cute elephants on the way

What is this huh?

Many many labbits!

We went up the tower to take more pics

The place where i fell before heading up the tower. i hurt both my shins. I couldn't get up and a few mins after that, it was so painful, i almost fainted lor. so cham.

The beautiful cheena palace

The European Palace

The greenery

Next destination. Ayutthaya! We went 3 places in Ayutthaya. Wow, didn't know that the place is so huge. Impossible to walk. Pretty lucky that we took a tour, but angry that the tour didn't bring us to the famous 'buddha head in the tree' and the reclining buddha lor.

sigh, suay.
What to do...

1st destination:
All the ancient ruins

2nd destination:
Went to another destination to see big big Buddha

The very big Buddha which looks very small in the photo.
And what's inside?

Lotsa money!!

3rd destination:
They brought us to the mini Angkor Wat. I thought this is the nicest place among the 3.

The headless buddhas

Labbit!

We can actually climb up, but we chose not to. There's a lady in the pic wearing long skirt and literally climbing up with her hands. The stairs are too small and steep lah. We had our share of climbing at the first destination.

And after all these, it's time for lunch. The tour package includes a river cruise lunch, on the way back to BKK. It's a long 3 hours cruise lor. Quite relaxing, but i find it quite a waste of time. :P

The lunch was great. At least there are some good food served. Either that or it means we are too hungry. kekeke.

Our only leisure on the boat. Watching Mr bean series.

Us on the upper deck.

A nice bridge

We finally reach bkk around 5pm or so. Head straight to the hotel for our swimming!!!!!!
Baiyoke's pool

But alas, we didn't get to swim. My new swimsuit didn't even get to touch the pool water. It was so blardy cold! The chilling wind kept blowing. The water feels like ICE. It's not those whereby you will feel warm after jumping in the water after a while. I put my hand in for a min or so, i can feel that it's almost freezing.
Argh! Have to try our luck at Novotel instead. And we shall do it on a hot hot afternoon!

Dinner time! We went chinatown for seafood. Heard so much good reviews on Lek and T&K. We tried T&K instead. Very very nice meh? Our dessert elsewhere is nicer.
gao gao eh Sharkfins and...
gao gao eh birdnest.

Long long day... but we are not ending the day yet before heading
Suan Lum!
The beer garden really is chio lor. Damn happening with lotsa angmohs and liveband. But too bad, we had our dinner earlier at chinatown liao. Sob.

come here of coz is to sit ferris wheel lah...

on the wheel!

...and of coz, come here is to shop lah

I like suan lum. Definitely more spacious than chatuchak. Not as many things though, but ok lah. Not stuffy. I like!

Ok, time to really end the day...
