Poseidon (2006)

A group of survivors, i think got firefighter, architect, gambler, etc etc... trying to make their way to the top of the liner. No, bottom... eh, top..... err.. bottom top. whatever...

First of all, cannot compare these 2 movies lah!! They are so different!!

I did not watch the 1972 one. So, canot compare with that.

but aiyah, it's human nature to compare right! Though they are VERY different, i still did some comparisons (my very personal pt of views), to help me decide which movie i like more.

Titanic - Despite the lengthy romance part, all the other parts were great!
Great storyline.
Unexpected ending.
Great dialogue.
Funny.
Breath holding.
Sad. How many cried? A lot.
I rem i cried only after watching it the 3rd time in the cinema though.
Poseidon - more of action packed with expected ending.

Titanic - Causes curiosity. Supposingly unsinkable. So why did it sink? The Myth?
Poseidon - no comments.

Titanic - Fantastic shots of the liner sinking.... of it breaking into 2, sinking slowly..
Poseidon - Huh? so fast capsize liao.....and those pple doesnt look like they are walking on ceiling leh.

Titanic - Sound effect. I still remember the sound made by the liner, esp along the dark and flooded passageways.
Poseidon - None.

Titanic - It was a hit. Millions of people all over the world watched it at least. Most at least twice in the cinema.
Poseidon - This movie will sink like the liner, i believe.

Titanic - famous line "You jump, i jump"
Poseidon - famous line: None

Titanic - famous treasure: Heart of the ocean. that necklace..
Poseidon - famous treasure: None (but i think the kid is a treasure in the movie lor!)

Titanic - famous scene: Jack drawing Rose, naked.
Poseidon - famous scene: None.. er.... still none. But lotsa boobs. Hmm, the scene whereby the charbor bent down and let her dad bio her boobs counted?

Titanic - famous myth: mummy of (i forgot what and where).... a mummy lah.
I roughly remember the mummy is a curse of death. Wherever the mummy goes, pple died and disasters happened.
Some people bought the mummy, and things happened to them. They either injured or died.
Then, someone donated the mummy to a museum (forgot which country), disasters happened.
So................ one idiot decided to ship it back home on Titanic...... and the story began.
Poseidon - NONE.
