Bintan - Day 3

SO FAST! Just a blink and we will need to head back soon.

We spent the morning at the beach, playing jet-ski. Hate it.
Regretting not playing snorkelling though.
NEXT TIME!

Back to the hotel, nua.. pack...
and back to singapore.

I miss bintan lagoon aleady. Totally worth the money.

Bintan - Day 2

Breakfast at the very nan chi place again. Not much appetite. Didn't eat much.
Ahh... our resort. I managed to take another shot, zoomed in, and with labbit's underwear hanging at the balcony. Wahahahaha. Shorts lah. :P
Our first activity of the day! Archery. Very excited coz long time no play! I used the shorter bow..
The wind was pretty strong that day for archery. Mine was like.. sigh. Labbit at least got one bull's eye. But still, it's fun!
Labbit love the range so much... we played golf again.
Clearing the balls. Labbit's very bad! Diam diam wanna aim the car..
Next, we went for a swim at the beach... enjoying the waves. Wanted to play jetski but it's all fully booked. We were swimming halfway when, it rained! haha! But ok lah, steady one. We walked back to the resort under the heavy rain. The weather turned very nice and cool and we nua in the room for quite a while. Quite shiok to sit at the balcony, looking at the rain... nua.

Cannot nua whole day right! I want my seafood! So, off we go.. to Pasar oleh oleh. Wanted to go town, but we decided not to waste much time on the journey.
There's this place opposite oleh oleh, looks new. We wanted to try the massage, but it's fully booked. ARGH!
Our most delicious meal for the whole trip. Very nice cereal prawns and chilli crabs. VERY VERY satisfied.
We walked around and found the mandi lulur scrub~! Aiyoh, it's selling at $3 per tub! What the heck! It wasn't any cheaper. Like i say, everything there is expensive. I gave up on the prawn crackers too.

We made our way back and we explored the nature park in the resort itself.

We walked and walked and walked... and we finally see the beach! This is the other side of bintan lagoon. Strong currents though. Not many pple. Only that family at the beach...and us.
Now, this makes more sense...
i was happily taking pictures when i suddenly realised..... why is my churra spelt wrongly!!!!!!! *STARE* LABBIT
After my big fuss, he decided to write again...

We head back to the room for more nuaing and movies.. kekeke.

Bintan - Day 1

FINALLY!!!! It's been like 8 years since i last went? Stayed at mana mana that time. Was bored to death and i promised myself never to step into bintan again.

But hor, i found Bintan Lagoon resort, read the reviews and fell in love with it. So, we ditched our Hong Kong plan and went bintan instead. I've told labbit tons of time that bintan could be bored at night. But he seems ok.

And to think i've spent like 1-2 months surfing all about HK, finding hotels i like... and even to planning the itinerary!

All of a sudden, my urge to go HK was gone. I dun feel like shopping there anymore. I just wanna relax. Bintan is the best place.. and labbit's very happy coz he dun really like HK lah. :D

On the ferry. Labbit entertaining himself with ipod and starring at duno-what.
After reaching, we took a short bus ride to the hotel. There were dancers welcoming us when we got down the bus. Can't wait to reach and enjoy my seaview room. Had especially asked for it. I knew something was wrong when the reception told us "west wing". ARGH! I told east wing's nearer to the beach?

There! SUPERIOR ROOM! Was so fiaking pissed! There's nothing to see at the balcony except one big TREE.

Yes, it's fiakstar's fault again. We went back to the counter and argued that we've booked a deluxe seaview room. They promised to check and get back to us later in the evening if there's any room to change.

Think they were pretty nice lah. They gave us the option to stay in superior room for one nite, and upgrade us to suite the next day with free lunch. Wooooooosh!
But labbit doesn't want the hassle of moving our things around..

So, we hanged ard the resort and waited till the last bus came to see if there's anymore room for us.

The good thing abt bintan lagoon is, there's tons of activities to do.. After so much worrying of getting bored on the island, now our worry was "got enough time to play so many things or not?"
The very first thing we played.... golf...
No lah, where got so pro. I meant range nia. labbit quite steady one... duno where he secretly learnt all his stuff
Casual wear was allowed, hence my improper outfit. And this is definitely a wrong pose. Do NOT learn.
VERY DIFFICULT TO PLAY LOR! It's not as easy as i thought. My ball wun fly. It just rolled and rolled and i can even hear "dong"..the ball dropped into the drain. Swinging wasn't easy. And i always hit the ground instead of the ball. PAIN!

After tat, we made our way back to the counter, praying there's a deluxe room for us.

We got our deluxe room! So chio as compared to the previous one. Definitely more comfy!!
The difference also lies in the bathroom amenities, bathrobes, minibar...the bed..and the VIEW. We had a part pool, part grass and part seaview room. LOL!
Very very shiok. We promised ourselves to walk slowly in bintan. We, singaporeans have been walking too fast! Everything's in a rush! We must relaxxxxxx....

We went to the pool for a swim and it's dinner time! Tried the buffet and yucks. The food sucks. And it's ex! Aiyah, everything there is ex.

Not only our room number has 44.... even our table number was also 44..
I bought the Lucidol hair dye and brought it there. Always tried loreal and didn't know there lucidol's amount ain't much. So, after helping labbit with his hair, there isn't much left for mine. *wails*.
So pathetic. He had to use those on his hair to comb on mine. HAHA. Lucidol's really good. Nice colour!

We ended the night taking a stroll at the beach and relaxing in our very cosy room watching movies on tv.

Transformer

EXTREMELY action-packed! You dun even have a sec to take a deep breath!
The transformation was wooosh! Makes u go woooo... wah.. wow! or simply speechless.

And hor, pple actually clapped at the end of the movie lor. Heh.

I felt a bit giddy towards the end of the movie though. Had to close my eyes for few secs while they fight. The fighting was so messy, i can't even see who's fighting who.

Heng i wasn't sitting at the first few rows. Think i will puke.

And that was the only transformers toy i had when i was young.

MeiMei's wedding

Wow! Jingli and i simply can't imagine her in wedding gown! She has always been such a tom boy in sec sch's time. I'm happy for her lah. Glad that she finally made up her mind over her ex.

Saw lotsa familiar faces there. Of coz, the long time no see steven and junie. Di qiang and william...

We sat at meimei's primary sch's classmates table. And almost all of them looked so familar! Yuan lai we did went out before.

Another 2-3 familiar faces, which i suspect they were from TP.

And i saw a monk!! Argh!! There goes my toto...

The last part of the movie became a bit boring...... we can't laugh. We started to yawn and wonder if the movie's real. That's wat the rumours say right? It's not a scripted movie. Whatever lah.

If i were to watch it again, I will watch the first half of the movie again just to laugh. That's it.

Surf's Up

HEH. Another movie for penguin lovers!

Penguin show, of coz nice one mah :D

A lot of easily missed quick jokes (again). The unique part is the camera crew following the main lead throughout the movie, capturing his journey to the surfing contest. I think i did understand surfing more through the movie. Hands itchy.. makes me wanna try. :P

I like the overweight penguin too. I like the 3 chicks. I like that duck too.

Science Centre

China: 7000 years of innovation
(from 26 May to 26 Aug)

Quite interesting actually. There were many areas in the hall. Each of us were given a card. We can stamp the card at each area to collect a free gift.

Some of the areas exhibit were astronomy, gunpowder, paper making, architecture, weaving, ceramics, , bronze casting, TCM, etc.

There were live demostrations of paper making, kite making, Embroidery, weaving, etc.

The one on the left is an earthquake detection. There were too many people surrounding the real thing, very hard for me to take a proper pic of it! Can only admire picture...
Forgot. Think it's something like a clock?

GrandUncle's 80th Da Shou

Seems like lotsa good food this month.

I dun even recall who he is, but i shall just follow dad. We had 3 cars of relatives all driving to bendemeer from bt batok, very afraid of losing each other. HAHA.

Met lotsa 'far' relatives. Most of them, i wouldn't even recognise them if we met on the street.

Aunt told me that my cousin knew a guy in school. They became quite close and went out often. One fine day, my cousin told him "actually, i need to attend a wedding dinner today, but i skipped it."
The guy told her the same thing.
After tallying, they found out that they were actually relatives!

And they met again tonite, sitting seperate tables, ocasionally making glances at each other. Heh. Sec sch kids nia. They should be ok.

There were about 11 tables and we occupied the whole restaurant.
Very nice food, and nice sharkfins!
Came in one big piece and the waitress cut it on the spot to distribute.

Next will be my grandfather. Another 2-3 more years to his 80th bday.

William's wedding

HEH!! nice nice photos must wait for Mr Kopi, the photographer to send us. But i think it will take some time..

But there's no garden that day! Garden's spoit. so funny..

We sat down for our buffet lunch with this pretty lady sitting beside me.
Tony suddenly asked "You looked familiar. Have we met?"
Labbit and i almost puked.

I turned to look at her.............. and hey! She does look familiar!
So, i started asking if she had starred in some shows, or cheong at mdm wong..

Labbit recalled that we actually met at Music underground before.
wah lau!
William introduced her as his sister to us tat time. HAHA!
Mei siang dao, labbit's memory so good.

We went home after the solemnisation in the evening to prepare for 2nd round at nite!

Labbit and i sent him home, very worried that he will puked in the car. He was VERY SEH. But hor, he can still give directions home ok!! Steady lor.

and woke up again..

and when we finally reached his place, JUST RIGHT OUTSIDE HIS HOUSE, he got off the car and said "Aiyoh, i will take a taxi home myself lah"

Limin's wedding

The end of the 14 years long run, we finally have to give our ang bao today.

I should have got her drunk, wrapped her with the table lining.. and steal her gown.

This is the boring egg game.. but still got us laughing and laughing.

And i finally met Jiahui to pass her the belated (almost one month) bday gift. Got her a coach charm for all the penguins she bought me from HK and Aust. keke..
